​My name is Jack. I am a keen cyclist, bikepacker, father of 2 young boys, and the owner of The Borders Bike Room which opened in May 2024. My passion for bikes and cycling led me to complete my Velotech Bicycle Mechanic Courses and out of that the idea for The Borders Bike Room was born.

I work from home in Galashiels, Scottish Borders where I am lucky enough to have a wife who has granted me permission to have a dedicated 'Bike Room' in our home. It is a one man operation and I pride myself on attention to detail. The question I ask when finishing work on a bike is this - "Would I ride it? Would I let my kids ride it?"
